Healing
First of all, it is not you who does the healing. You act as a channel for the Universal Life Force. Reiki activates and supports the body's capacity to heal itself. The only person you can heal is yourself. That takes care of the Ego gratification.

Being a Reiki practitioner you act as a channel, which means, you are being of service to God. You are God's channel and He brings light, love and healing to the world through you. Let us remember that we are all connected to the Source (God). We therefore are all God's channels. He expresses himself through us. Being aware of this, we step aside and humbly ask him to use us as His channel.

Did Healing take Place?
Healing always happens. However we may never know how and in what form and where. This is beyond our understanding. All we need to know is that healing always takes place.

The Acceptance of Healing
After a healing session a condition may persist. This is not because nothing happened, for healing did happen. It is because at some level the complete healing is or cannot be accepted. It is also possible, that the healing of a condition is not congruent with the chosen life path of a person. This has to be accepted. The healing may have happened on another level, bringing peace of mind to the person. If death was chosen, it might help to experiencing a peaceful transition. There are a myriad of possibilities. We need not know. We need to trust.

Where two have joined for healing, God is there. And He has guaranteed that He will hear and answer them in truth. They can be sure that healing is a process He directs, because it is. Let us not forget that we are helpless of ourselves, and lean upon a Strength beyond our little scope for what to teach as well as what to learn. And He will send His Answer through the therapist who best can serve His Son in all his present needs. Perhaps the answer does not seem to be a gift from Heaven. Yet let the outcome not be judged by us.
