Reiki Level II
The Reiki Symbols

Using the Reiki symbols
The conscious use of the Reiki symbol is what makes the Reiki II so different. From now on, you will use them on a regular basis in your hands on healing, your distance healing and in most situations when you use Reiki.

Cho-Ku-Rei
The Cho-Ku-Rei is the power symbol and can be used to start a healing session to increase the flow. I suggest to use it after the Sei-He-Ki in this case, to assure clearing first. Basically, everything that you like increased will be greatly affected by using this symbol. Draw it over your manifestation grid (we will talk about the manifestation grid a bit later on). In order to decrease this symbol can also be used counterclockwise, i.e. to decrease a unwanted growth.

Sei-He-Ki
There are various uses to this symbol. For clearing and protection, draw it over your door, put it into the corners of your room. Over your house. Over your food. You may feel guided to wear it as a protection around your neck. It is the symbol used for emotional healing. So whenever your person gets emotional during a session, use this symbol. Draw it over her, or visualize it. Remember to allow the emotion to be expressed. An expressed emotion can also mean an energy blockage is dissolving and healing occurring.

Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen
The Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen is used in every distant healing. It is the symbol that transmits the healing. It is also the symbol that gives us access to healing on karmic and past-life issues and to the Akashic Records.

Use of the symbols in a hands on session
As said above, you can start each session with the visualization of the Sei-He-Ki for clearing, the Cho-Ku-Rei for increasing flow and the Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen for past live and karmic issues. We all have those issues. It is your choice, which of the symbols you like to use for starting a session. Another option is to use the symbols consciously as they are specifically needed. Draw Sei-He-Ki for emotional reactions such as anger, tears, fear etc. Draw Hon-Sha-Ze-sho-Nen for past life and karmic issues, always following the Sei-He-Ki, for past life and karmic issues are usually connected with heavy emotional release.

Use of the symbols in a distant healing
For every distant healing, regardless what method you choose, the symbols are required to be drawn or visualized.

Use of the symbols in general
Whatever perceived problem you are addressing with Reiki, the conscious intent and application of the symbols is crucial. I suggest using all three, because emotional components are always there, added flow or increased efficiency is desirable and last and not least, and, finally, most issues probably include a past life component.

Whenever doubt arises on what to do, what to say or which symbol to draw - call on the help of your Reiki guides. Each of these symbols is available on a stoneware pendant at the Reiki Shop.
