Kundalini and the Microcosmit Orbit
The Reiki attunement, particularly level II and level III can easily bring about the awakening of the kundalini energy, which lies slumbering at the base of the spine. Upon awakening it spirals up through the seven energy centers (chakras) to the top of the head.

As the kundalini energy vibrates at a much higher rate than a untrained body is accustomed to,
a sudden raising of this energy, also known as human sexual energy or creative force, can leave a person quite uncomfortable while the body adjusts to the increasing frequencies.

The experiences vary from feeling flushed, having a buzz at a particular body location or even feeling the whole body buzzing like a beehive, and last and not least feeling sensuous and sexual. Unlike many of us had been taught, this is not a bad thing and nothing to be ashamed of. It is one of the most wonderful human feelings. Sexual energy combined with the heart and the Spirit brings about a blissful state. Enjoy the feeling. You deserve it all. The bliss and the happiness.

Note of caution:
A forced awakening of the kundalini energy is said to be dangerous.

The practice of the Microcosmic Orbit offers a complete energy circle, which brings about harmony of body mind and spirit. It could be seen like a grounding rod for the kundalini energy. In case of discomfort due to kundalini rising I suggest the practice of the Microcosmic Orbit. Even putting the tongue up to the palate and breathing down will help ground the energies and helps dissipate feelings of discomfort. Know that this is all part of your healing and loosening blocked energies. All is well. Your channels are being cleared and opened.
